Downtown Ducklings
Can you find Mother Duck and her eight ducklings wandering around Downtown Harrisonburg, Virginia?
About this project
Explore the charm of Harrisonburg, Virginia with Downtown Ducklings, a delightful public art installation showcasing a bronze Mother Duck and her eight unique ducklings scattered throughout the city's Historic Downtown.
Spearheaded by Explore More Discovery Museum with the generous support of Harrisonburg Downtown Renaissance, this whimsical initiative brings play and joy to our vibrant community. These adorable feathered friends were crafted with care by celebrated sculptor David Turner with inspiration from an exciting new children’s book, “Look Up, Patito.” Written by the Museum’s exhibit director Marcia Zook and illustrated by local artist Kathleen Johnston, this story reminds us to slow down and enjoy the beauty and unexpected surprises that surround us.
Check out the map and embark on a quacking fun adventure to see if you can find them all!
